This cabinet photograph was identified to me (nothing marked on image itself) as a young Doc Carver outside his show tent. It may well be. He stepped out to be photographed with a civilian dressed man with his two donkeys and one of his cowboys. Carver does not look very pleased. Why should he be. Two Donkeys ? The photograph is by P.S. Weaver, Hanover, Pa. circa 1880s. It is a strange image but I like it as it shows a real life, candid, event. It does not look at all planned.
