Four Indians Executed in Missoula, Montana

Cabinet photograph  taken in 1890 of four American Indians prior to their execution on December 19 of that year.    They were accused of murdering up to 50 white people over a period of time.    Missoula Sheriff Houston aided in their capture and execution.    The Indians are left to right:  Piere Paul, La La See, Pascale, and Antley.    Note the handcuffs restraining each pair of Indians.  The photograph is by F. M. Ingalls in the Missoula  jail yard.
