Rare CDV image of Zerelda Cole James Samuel in the 1880's. Note it clearly shows the missing arm. In later periods, she tried to hide that as much as possible. This photograph came out of the Wilbur Zink auction and I bought it. It was taken by Schwartz, Kansas City, Mo. It is an albumen image; sharp and clear to this day. One of the best images of her extant.
