Rufus Binyon was a black man who murdered his 8 year old step daughter and then tried to cremate her body. He was found guilty and sentences to death in 1902. He appealed and lost. He was then executed in the jail yard in Ardmore. He has been hooded and secured here just before dropping his through the trap for his horrible crime. Killing of a child affords a person no less of a death.
