Who was Texas Jack Jr. ? I do not know.   I doubt there is more than one or two of these photographs extant today.   This one may even be unique.   It has seen a better day but it is well worth having as all the more obscure images are.   They are much rarer than all the photographs of the known men and women who were so extensively advertised.   This young cowboy has it all.   He is wearing a Texas Star decorated hat,  a cowboy scarf, shotgun chaps, boots and spurs.   He has a double action Colt or S& W in a double loop holster on his cartridge belt.   Another double action with a shorter barrel is stuck into his belt.   It has a carved handle.   His beautiful saddle is beside him with a Winchester rifle in a saddle sheath.    Odds are he was with one of the bigger Wild West Shows on tour in the East in the 1880's.   The photograph is by Union Photo Co. , Chicago.    It is identified (or possibly signed) on the back.
