He wears military sy\tyle knee high boots, a cartridge belt and a SAVAGE revolver in a long, flap holster. Savage revolvers are super rare in any image. It may have been staged on him but, frankly, I doubt it. On the back of the image in contemporary ink is: "To my parents with love from their Affectionate son J.B. Tyrrell Texas 1883".
