CDV of Bannack, M.T. in the late 1860's - 1870. It was taken by H.W. Brown in Bannack. Images of early Bannack are even rarer than images of Virginia City. It is a ghost town now but originally was a mining town very close to Virginia City. It was also where some of the most vicious outlaws lived and a very wild and open town at the time. Bannack was the original capitol of Montana Territory in the 1860's.
