The image is a later copy from an original negative of an image of Texas Jack taken in 1873 and produced as a albumen CDV. I have one on this website. This one produced circa 1895-1905. I really like this one as, in this newer sepia method, it becomes much sharper and clearer in detail. It is a wonderful image of what he really looked like as albumens lacked significant detail and clarity.
