This is an interesting image. There are more than 25 men and kids in this image surrounding a black man in a white shirt. He is obviously their prisoner and his hands are secured behind his back. He does not looked at all harmed. Many of the men are armed. This may be a posse who captured this man for some crime or it may have a more nefarious history. It is an unmounted image circa 1900. I have no idea and I am NOT going to use the modern day "news" of our times and come up with an answer without historical proof.
