I would say this is a Wild West Show Cowboy in that albumen photograph taken by McCullough in Jacksonville ILL. He has a Very wide brimmed cowboy hat or Sombrero , bandanna, jacket shotgun chaps boots, spurs, and his saddle is displayed at his right (left in photos). He is holding a single shot riffle and a quirt in his right hand and wears a double loop, large holster with a large caliber Smith and Wesson revolver in it.
