His real name was Charles Scott. He was known as "The Brilliant Bandit of the Wabash". He robbed citizens, shopkeepers, and stores. He then graduated into assault and finally to murder. His spree took him through Indiana, Illinois, and Missouri. He was suspected of killing as many as 17 men in those three states. His last murder was in a gunfight with patrolman White who later died of his wounds. Rande was finally captured, tried, found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. He hanged himself in his cell in Joliet Prison. Notice he holds two Merwin and Holbert Revolvers in this CDV.
