His real name was Samuel Franklin Cowdery. He later changed it to Samuel Franklin Cody. He was a Wild West Showman but NO relation to Buffalo Bill Cody. He was also a pioneer of early manned flight. He is best known for his design of large kites known as CODY WAR-KITES, used by the British in WW1.
