Large cabinet image taken by Fly in the Arizona field. He was, of course, based in Tombstone. Noted on the back that it was taken BEFORE they surrendered in 1886. These Indians escaped and were forced to surrender to General Crook in March, 1886.
Note the Indian on horseback in the back/middle. I believe this is sub chief Natche. He wears War Paint. Others are unidentified. The Apaches were known for their viciousness.
