This is a small cabinet photograph of EBONY, Jesse James' last race horse he owned when killed. It was sold after Jesse's death by Zee James among other possessions as Jesse left her and his children virtually penniless. The man who holds it is the owner at that time. History tells us that Ebony was an established, money winning asset for races or breeding. Jesse knew his horse flesh.
