This is a photograph of the dedication in 1891 of this particular monument over the grave of Wild Bill Hickok. The man in the left foreground with jacket over his arm is the artist/creator/sculptor of the monument. The other men are various Deadwood dignitaries. I knew his name when I bought the large cabinet at auction but I have since lost the reference and cannot find it on the internet. The monument was later damaged by souvenir hunters.
