This cabinet photograph is truly an image of a Cow BOY. I doubt he is over 10-12 years old. They grew up fast in those times (circa 1890-1900). The single shot rifle he holds may be his first gun ( I had my first shotgun at 8 years old and my first 22 rifle at 13). He also has a hunting knife in a sheath on his belt. On his head is a large, wide brimmed Cowboy hat; store bought stripped shirt and boots. He has a confident look on his young face.
