This is a hard image to find. Cody was asked to come to the Pine Ridge Reservation by the U.S. military to help quell the unrest there between Sitting Bull and other Indians involved in the Ghost Dance. Cody was dressed in military uniform and given the honorary rank of Colonel. The attempt was not successful as Sitting Bull was killed while being arrested by the Indian Police despite being a personal friend of Cody's. This was on December 15, 1890.
