This is a vintage copy photograph copied by famous Old West photographer John Tackett (who took the famous Coffeeville Dalton Raid photos). It is from his personal archives and previously owned by the Jim and Theresa Earle collection. It was originally taken on May 9, 1889, prior to Coffeeville, Kansas. It is of Bob Dalton and his pregnant girlfriend Lucy Johnson by the Fowler Photography Studio in Vinita, Indian Territory. Their union produced a daughter, Jennie Mae Johnson in November 1889. With this image is also a miniature tintype owned by Tackett of a younger Bob Dalton prior to his outlaw years. It is the only known tintype of its kind.
