First Public School in Montana

This is fantastic M.T. history.  It is identified as the "first Public School House in Montana (M.T.)  west of the rocky mountains. D.P. Newcome principle, Deer Lodge Montana. Nov. 1866-7".    Photographer is C.H. Train.
