Zerelda Amanda Mimms James (died November 13, 1900) was the wife of Jesse W. James. This is an ORIGINAL tintype from the Zink Collection (where I purchased it at auction) and previously published. It is unquestionable. Her mother was the sister of Jesse's father making Zee and Jesse first cousins. This is thought to have been her wedding photograph. She was buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kearney, Missouri near the old James Farm. 18 months after she was buried, Jesse's body was exhumed from his grave on the farm and moved to this cemetery to be reburied next to her. She and Jesse were devoted to each other.
