Montana Scout or Indian Fighter

I like this cabinet photograph a lot. Not the least of which that it was taken in Montana. All his cloths seem to fit and I suspect it is not staged. He is wearing a military cartridge belt and belt buckle with a flap style holster. That leads me to believe he may well have been a military scout. He holds a single shot rifle. He is also wearing a Montana style western hat and a fancy, Indian decorated buckskin shirt. He looks like he is in his 20s which would be normal in those times for such service. The image is circa 1880-85, is albumen, and was taken by Klenze, Assiniboine(this is spelled with two n's on the cabinet card which is incorrect!) , Montana. I have no encountered this photographer before.
