April 16, 1889 dated on the back of this 8x10 albumen cabinet photograph of the Dodge City Cowboy Band traveling with its band wagon and horses to some location where they will entertain. They are mounted and seated around the area in front of grazing horses and cattle. Their wagon marked L.N. York (their band leader) COD. I have only seen two of these images extant and owned them both. This one I kept and the other one I traded to my dear (deceased) friend, W.T. Bailey. It is an incredible photograph of the famous Wild West Show Band stopping to rest while traveling. Too much detail to describe here.
