This is a rare and rather exceptional cabinet photograph of Buffalo Bill Cody. It is beautifully tinted, especially the skin tones.
The photograph is by Naegeli, 46 EAST 14th Street, Union Square. I am not specifically a CODY collector. I have several but prefer the Cody entertainers rather than him but this is a youthful image and very professionally done. It was originally signed on the back. Unfortunately, the original owner glued it into an album. When it was removed most of the signature was destroyed. A shame!
