Stereo of 12 Indian Police at the Standing Rock Agency . Some may have been the ones who went after Sitting Bull. However Red Tommy Hawk is not one of them in this image. It is somewhat faded but details are still clear. It is an albumen image circa 1890. All of the officers and their leader are well armed. Any Indian Police image is considered rare and widely collected. However, few are offered now days. The image was taken by W.R. Cross, Niobrara, Neb. Cross is a well known Indian photographer.
