Very large cabinet photograph circa 1880's of Sheriff Thomas DeYarmon of Madison County, Montana. His wife shown here was the daughter of George Thaxton who was an original Virginia City, M.T. Vigilante in the 1860's. DeYarmon also founded the earliest newspaper in Montana called the "Madisonian" located in Virginia City. This is a very rare Montana Pioneer photograph to find.
