Previously published Large cabinet photograph of Ada City Marshal A.A. Bobbitt on horseback. He was shot from ambush by paid assassin "Deacon" Jim Miller in 1909. He lived long enough to tell who his assassin was. Miller and three other men were captured and the posse simply strung all four up in a barn in Ada. Miller had previously gotten out of trouble in court and the towns people were afraid he could escape justice again. This original photograph was taken outside in the sun and, in this period, is typically light in contrast but details can be easily seen.
