This is a wonderful cabinet photograph of a very young Montana Cowboy of the 1880's. He has a white shirt and tie, sports a Sombrero hat, has shotgun chaps, boots, holds a lasso, and wears a carved handle, pearl or ivory, Colt SAA. He is looking slightly to his left. The young man is not identified but the photograph is by R.C. Morrison of Miles City, Montana. Morrison arrived in Miles City in 1878 and took extensive photographs in the 1880's. The Montana Historical Society has a collection of his work.
