Two buckskin frontiersmen and their horses

This appears to have been taken outside of a Spanish Mission or the like; possibly California or New Mexico. There is no photographer's mark or location. The men are not identified. It is my opinion that this image is staged and part of a Wild West Show troop or a theater production. The two men look like frontiersmen in the 1830s Alamo period but the image dates circa 1890-1900. At any rate, the horses are real and the paint horse is a beauty. The men are dressed in authentic buckskin costumes with leather leggings and high top boots.
