I support the death sentence in certain cases. This man certainly deserved it. His name was John F. Morgan. He admitted to killing a woman, Chloe Green AND her two children, Matilda and Jimmy, at their family home on November 8, 1897. He killed them with a hatchet. He also tried to kill a third child but she survived, escaped and gave the alarm. She also testified against this inhuman monster. He did it to steal $40.00. He was executed on November 16, 1897 in front of a crowd of 5000 people  who had traveled statewide to watch him die. After this, public executions were abolished by the W. Virginia legislature.
