Outstanding, large, 1887 cabinet photograph of Bill Cody driving a four-in-hand carriage with his daughter Arta sitting beside him. His partner Nate Salisbury and Salisbury's wife sit behind. The image was taken in Europe when Cody was touring Europe with his Wild West Show. Arta was traveling with her father that season. It is signed "To Moma/From/Arta/Aug. 2, 1887" in ink on the front of the image. It was never meant for the public, just as a gift to Arta's Mother. The image descended from Bill Cody's family to his great granddaughter Patsy Garlow and hense was sold to the public with a group of other family images after they had been removed from the Cody Museum in Wyoming.
