CDV of Dr. Reuben Samuel. He was the step father of Frank and Jesse James and the father of Archie Samuel. The Yankees hanged him, revived him, hanged him again repeatedly on the James Farm trying to make him reveal where Frank and Jesse were. He refused. However, the hanging caused brain damage. He later had to be placed in an institution where he died. No photographers mark. This image purchased by me in Wilbur Zink auction. Images of him are very rare.
