In death photograph of James Creed "Jim Taylor" who was gunned down by William E. Sutton during a long time feud between the Suttons and Taylors in Texas. This happen in 1875. This image is a later pirate of the original albumen image. This one produced in the 1885-1895 period as the feud had become legendary in Texas. Some of the participants were actually related to John W. Hardin and Hardin became involved before he moved to Florida and was captured. There were many lynching, shooting, and killing due to this feud from 1868 until 1876. By 1877, Texas Ranger Jesse Lee Hall and his force put a final end to the hostilities in Cuero, Texas. This image is period identified on the back of the photograph.
