This is simply the finest, tinted, Cowboy image I have ever seen or acquired in 50 years. The art work is fabulous. The tinting perfect on the image and the mount. It was done by Chas. McMillan in Vallejo, California. The cowboy is E.W. Derrick who was the U.S. long distance horseback rider champion. This image is an advertisement based on Derrick's proposal to ride from San Francisco to Chicago inside of 30 days. He proposed to use 10 California mustangs spaced out at reasonable distances so as not to overtax the horses. He estimated he'd have to ride between 80-100 miles each day, eating in the saddle. Full information is on the back of this image. I have no idea whether he accomplished this goal. None the less, it is an OUTSTANDING cabinet image showing his full regalia both for himself and his horse(s). everything is tinted down to his American flag bandanna around his neck.
