A.O. Babel permoted himself as a former Texas cowboy. He was a Texan but made up most of his life as a cowboy, scout, etc . He was a piano player and musician. He did this to get more jobs in Honkey Tonks, Bars, and Country and Western events. Of that, he was quite successful as history relates he was quite a fine piano player. His name was Alexander Oscar Babel. His father and mother were Prussian immigrants and his father was a professor of music who taught him music all his childhood life. . He died in New York on January 19, 1896. I have several cabinet images of Babel as several were made to promote his Cowboy image and carrier.
