CDV of W.H. Gribbens who was legally hanged along with his friend in Ashland, Ohio in 1884. His friend actually killed the man with a rock in an argument but Gribbens was tried as an accessory and hanged with him. Witnesses testified that Gribbens had nothing to do with the fight so he was innocent. Miscarriage of justice. It was the last of the public hanging in Ohio. You can read more on Google.
