RPPC of the historic Saloon owned by Judge Roy Bean. The sign reads Justice of the Peace Law West of the Pecos (Texas). It was in Val Verde County. Bean held court in his saloon here. It is in disrepair but still intact in the early turn of the century (20th). It came from the archives of John Tackett, famous for taking the photos of the Dalton gang after the Coffeeville Raid in October, 1892. It was previously in the Jim and Theresa Earl collection. Bottom of photo reads "Lippe Studio, Del Rio, Tex."
