This is the old Engine House where the criminal and murderer , John Brown, took refuge after trying to storm the U.S. arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia. He was hoping to use the arms in a slave uprising. However, he found himself cornered here by the TOWNSPEOPLE. Virginia Governor dispatched UNITED STATES troops led by U.S. Colonel Robert E.
