Stereo view by D. P. Flanders, Artist, Scenes in Arizona, circa mid 1880's; Apache Wars. His name meant "Men stand in line for him". He was a chief of the Aravaipa Apaches. He wanted peace between his people and the American whites and military. It did not work. A group of local whites and Mexicans attacked his band and killed 144 of them. Those who were not killed were sold into slavery. Eskimenzin survived but later he was suspected of protecting his son-in-law, the Apache Kid. He was put in prison but died after his release in 1894. This is an early and Rare photograph of him.
