"Washosa B. Hicks, Indian Scout, Guide, and Traveler. Born Fort Sill, April 3, 1841. Half Breed Indian. Only survivor of Little Big Horn battle June 26, 1876". He was also known as CURLEY and was Custer's Scout. The photograph notes as well that he is 86 years old in this photograph. It is possibly a unique copy of this image of him.
