Circa 1880's CDV size small cabinet photograph taken by A. C. Norton, Monona, Iowa. Pristine image and mat. I assume this man is a hunter. He has on a wide brim civilian straw hat, a hunting bag over his left shoulder, a knife and two small caliber guns stuck in his belt (these may be staged by photographer for more pizzazz). He is holding a 1873 Winchester rifle with a !/2 magazine, special order from factory. It also has special order loops for a sling.
