Talton "Talt" Hall was the son of Dave Hall of Floyd County, Kentucky. He was "Devil John" Wrights best friend. Talt was wanted by the law for numerous murders in Kentucky and Tennessee but John Wright, although a lawman, never tried to arrest him. It is evident that this photograph and the next one of "Devil John" Wright were taken in the same place and by the same photographer. The photographer was H. L. Hartley, Wargap, Tenn.
