This is a faded albumen photograph of an officer (probably City Marshal) taken in Cripple Creek, Colorado in the 1880's. He is not identified but you can clearly see his law badge . It was taken by D.P. Morgan, manager, of the Ideal Photo Company , Cripple Creek, Colorado. I have had this image for many years from when I lived in Denver between 1981-`1989. I contacted the Cripple Creek Historical Society for help identifying him but the oldsters in charge seemed to be more overseers than historians and could tell me nothing of any city marshals who served there.
