This is a CDV sized copy of a cabinet photograph of Burt Alvord. Alvord was in 1886-1889 a deputy Sheriff under John Slaughter but turned bad and became a train robber after 1900. He was chased by none other than Texas Ranger Jeff Milton but not captured. Later he was chased by the Arizona Rangers, caught, escaped, caught again and escaped. He was pursued across the border with his gang and captured in 1904. He served a couple of years in prison. After release, he disappeared in Central America.
