Joseph B. Hallworth was a very early Wild West Show entertainer. He is but a teenager in this image. He started out as a sword swallower and later a trick shot and fancy trick ropper. You can see the swords he swallowed on the table to his right (left in image). He has his gun belt, his fringed chaps and his decorated shirt. All in all, he is a great young cowboy type showman even this early, circa 1880s. It is a very rare image of him.
